Torch Lake Wedding in Michigan

This wedding was a dream come true to shoot.

Katherine & Norm were married on a tree lined road in Elk Rapids, Michigan. She spent childhood summers there and knew she wanted it to be the backdrop for their wedding.  Katherine ended up writing a letter to the owners of a private tree-lined road that was surrounded by pines. In the letter, she talked about growing up going to Torch Lake every summer and how inspired she was by the scenery and the landscapes in Michigan. The owners fell in love with their story and let them use their private drive for the ceremony. They even watched from afar with their kids! It was unreal.

Since I first shared their day, it has gone viral and I can’t help but be thankful for clients who trust me and that have a vision the way these two do. I am so thankful to have been the one to document this day and I can’t wait to share it in full.
