sunrise in reykjavïk, iceland with lovers, india + jay .

when you travel with these two for a week straight, it's hard not to become fast friends with them. they bring out the best in each other and are always down for anything.

that said, we woke up at 4am, drove towards the fog and ended up stopping off on the side of the road once we looked to our left and saw what looked to be another planet. the moss,  the sunrise, the light. all of it. we hopped the median and chased the light and it was unreal + unlike anything i've ever seen. iceland, you're a wonderland that nobody is actually ready for.

india + jay, thank you for all that you've done with us and for us. you two are amazing and we can't wait for our next adventure.

while in paris, i photographed erin and christian in their charming airbnb in the canal saint-martin neighborhood of paris. we sipped coffee out of teacups, made mimosa's, listened to the growlers and got caught in the rain.

a sunday in london with lovers, corina and dan .

once we booked the second part of our honeymoon in london, i knew i had to photograph the beautiful, corina from birmingham and her love, dan from germany.

i photographed these two in ben and i's sweet, sweet airbnb in south kensington and then we wandered around the charming, notting hill.

it was a sunday filled with slow dancing, hand-holding, light chasing, sight-seeing and witnessing these two and their love.

meet, corina + dan .

a picnic in the park followed by porch hangs at their light blue bungalow with their dalmation, oliver: alice and joe are engaged.

on a late afternoon in june, we ventured to our favorite park in the city where lovers, alice + joe had a picnic and laid amongst the trees listening to tunes and watching the most random bald eagle fly around.

we ended our session at their adorable baby blue bungalow in brookside where they cuddled on the porch with their dalmation, oliver.

an abandoned motel pool ft. lovers, bitti and isaac.

an abandoned pool has been a source of inspo for awhile now. i had this vision of doing an editorial shoot, but could never find a pool. one spring-in-february friday, i drove north to an old swim club that used to exist in the 70's in hopes that it would still be around. while that wasn't the case, i came across an abandoned motel right off a busy two-lane highway. i pulled over instantly. a run down motel with bright pink doors, chipped paint and sure enough, to my right, a pool. thank you, universe.

i drove these two out to what i had found earlier that morning and we made some magic. you know the feeling when everything you had envisioned about a particular concept/idea comes to life. it was the first time these two had been photographed together and man, was it fun.

walt + annie: a two-part engagement in kansas city.

when walt and annie came to me and asked me to photograph their engagement, i was over the moon. i had been wanting to photograph these two for awhile and with their recent engagement, it was the perfect time (+ the perfect season for it!)

pt I takes place in the west bottoms in kansas city where we took our chances on the 12th street bridge and ended with some amazing light.

meet, walt + annie .

below is pt II where we ventured out to blue springs.

a dreamy morning spent with austin and hannah at their little 1931 mint-colored lake house in bonner springs, ks.

the roads were lined with fallen leaves, the fog was coming up off of the lake and the sun hadn't quite made it's way over the trees just yet as i pulled up to a minty lake house built in 1931 that had chipped paint, a retro couch and the smell of pancakes and coffee.

i spent the morning with austin and hannah - two lovers who wanted photos in this house that is nostalgic and special to them.

i had an amazing time getting to know them and i can't wait to share these photographs with you.

brooke and zane are engaged on an open road in kansas in dad's 1990 mercedes.

these are good people.

brooke and i have known each other for years - she helped shape my brand, grow my aesthetic and really pushed me to go after what i want. i could never thank her enough.

her and zane have built a community here in the city and they inspire everyone they meet. i was so honored to make photographs of them.

we took zane's dad's 1990 mercedes 300E and headed south towards open road. it just so happened that the sunflowers here in kansas were in full bloom so we stopped by for a few portraits and we ended the shoot by eating 1.50 oysters and toasting prosecco.

i've been so anxious to share these. meet, brooke and zane.

this year, i am really pushing to create more work for me. to be present, find a deeper connection, and to collaborate. i have found that i can do this by photographing in-home. in the past, i have made some of my favorite work this way. not only do interiors fascinate me, you can learn a lot about someone by the treasures and aesthetic of their home.  it is always a place where my couples can have that emotional connection and really be themselves.

here is a glimpse of kinsey + josh in their home in hyde park .
